Cycle Alert launches new ‘Operative Alert’ safety technology

In an attempt to enhance road safety for drivers and cyclists Cycle Alert has just launched its latest innovation called ‘Operative Alert’. The safety system that works in conjunction with Cycle Alert’s RFID technology and is designed to eliminate work-related hazards.
The technology consists of three units: a tag fitted to the hard-hat/lanyards/PPE of an operative, sensors fitted to the vehicle/machinery, and a dashboard receiver. The three components operate by communicating to alert a driver when an operative is neat and it will also work together with Cycle Alert, to recognise cyclists reducing work-related road risk.
Cycle Alert’s co-founder Peter Le Masurier commented “We’re providing advances in proximity warning systems for those at the forefront of the commercial vehicle industry, and so it seemed only natural that we should present our latest in safety innovation here at this year’s CV Show 2014.”The new technology could prove a hit with businesses and it has already gathered support from some leading names in the industry including Keltbray and Eddie Stobart.
