Dualway to invest €4.5 million in new expansion plans

The Irish bus operator Dualway intends to make a sizeable investment of €4.5 million in order to expand its business in 2014 to capitalise on an expected increase of tourists into Dublin. The company has already spent €3.5 million in order to secure numbers 117 and 118 Grafton Street in Dublin.
Dualway has said that they also intend to spend €800,000 on 10 new buses for its city sightseeing tours and a further €200,000to refurbish its current fleet of buses. This will involve the recruitment of 46 additional staff, including 20 bus drivers.
Speaking about the bus company’s new expansion plans, David McConn, chief executive of Dualway, said “The tourist sector has definitely turned the corner and we’re anticipating good growth this year in visitors to Dublin. We’ve decided that now is a good time to make this major investment.”
