Launched today, “Public Transport for Me” is about advancing the safety, security and opportunities for women in public transport, believing that public transport must be safe and secure for all users.
We actively support the @UITPNews and the @WorldBank campaign #PT4ME that aims at promoting gender-responsive policies in public transportation. #InternationalWomensDay #WomensWeekhttps://t.co/a9bPhe2aaB

According to the latest international study conducted by the UITP more than 90% of sexual harassment on public transport goes unreported while 80% of women are afraid of being harassed while using public transportation.
Furthermore, it was found that more than 80% of women have experienced harassment in public and shockingly, most women feel safer on the street than on public transport.
