Moller-Maersk plans to sell its stake in Danish grocery business

The Danish shipping company Moller-Maersk has announced its intentions to sell the majority of its stake in the country’s largest retailer for around €3 billion.

The company announced that it intends to sell a 48.7% stake in Dansk Supermarked to the Salling companies who have been the company’s long time partner in the retailer.

The intended sale comes as the shipping firm has in recent years been focused on what it considers its core business lines: shipping, port operations and oil drilling and exploration.
