Ryanair opens its new office campus and promises to create 200 new jobs

Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened the new Ryanair office campus at Airside Business Park in Swords earlier today. Ryanair is expected to launch its brand new website later today and Michael O’Leary has said that the company will create 200 new jobs in the new office campus.
The airline has also said that it intends to create a host of new jobs in the areas of technology, software and marketing. These jobs will be in addition to the 500 jobs for engineers, pilots and cabin crew that the airline has promised to create across Europe this year.
Speaking at the new office campus earlier today the Taoiseach applauded Ryanair for their continued commitment to Ireland and said that the Government will be working to expand the tourism sector. Enda Kenny said “From an early stage, we have targeted tourism as a key driver of economic recovery and I am pleased to say budgetary measures such as the 9 per cent VAT rate and the more recent cutting of the travel tax to zero have been welcomed by the industry which has responded by delivering new jobs and routes.”
